Off to the OGCA 2008 Symposium at Blue Mountain in Ontario next week…

Next week I will be attending the Ontario General Contractors Associations (OGCA) 2008 Symposium.
The event is a great for networking and enjoying the spectacular views in and around Collingwood.
One of the greatest things I enjoy about my job is the travelling and getting to meet new people who have stories to share. The symposium is a godl mind to find out what the latest news is coming from the government, industry trends and new advances in technology and products. Even though we are not official members of the association (you have to be a contractor) the staff and members have opened their doors to invite us in. The great thing about networking and membership in associations like this is the ability to get the inside track of what the next year has in store for the construction industry. Networking is probably the most effective way to market your products and develop relationships.

The Symposium is running April 10th thru to the 12th and will focus on :

  • Over 25 Educational and Gold Seal Approved Seminars
  • Over 60 Speakers
  • Larger Sponsors Display Room
  • Amazing Entertainment
  • Hundreds of Attendees

I will include a link to the special April issue featuring the OGCA and the symposium later this week.

What associations are you a member of?

What are the benefits you see to being a member?

What are the draw backs?

I will follow up to your responses when I get back from the symposium.
